Júlia Díaz I Calvete

I am a PhD Fellow at the Neuroscience Academy Denmark (NAD) programme. My educational background is in neuroscience (MSc Neuroscience, University of Copenhagen) and biology (BSc Human Biology, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona). My main research interests lay within the field of neuropsychiatric disorders, focusing on the neural correlates of higher brain functions such as those related to social interactions, emotions and consciousness, as well as in sensory perception. I aim to contribute to enhancing the mental health system from a methodical, innovative and interdisciplinary approach, towards a holistic and precision health landscape. I bring an enthusiastic and collaborative mindset and a deep commitment to impactful, socially-responsible research. I have joined Associate Professor Melanie Ganz-Benjaminsen for a lab rotation in summer 2025 to expand my horizons in MRI data analysis, and to learn about the potentials of machine learning and other computational tools for neuroimaging.
