Scientific interests:

Mikael Palner, PhD, SCPM has 15 years of experience in the domain of preclinical in vivo imaging (PET/MR, fluorescence) and psychedelic research. He recently established his own research team with emphasis on preclinical functional [18F]FDG PET imaging of neuronal circuits and behavioral assessment in rats following neuromodulation and psychedelic drug actions. In 2020 he was awarded a Sapere Aude starting grant from the Danish Independent Research Foundation and in 2022 partner in a Grand Solutions grant from the Danish Innovation Fund.

He is an active public speaker on subjects related to psychiatric disease and psychedelic drugs.
